I recently got a new ficus plant from a bonsai shop and I want to know what I should do with it but can't unless I know what species it is so I can look things up about it and do some research on how to look after and make it into a bonsai. So could someone please help

It's got round thick leaves and a oddly shaped trunk thick at the base and skinny at the top, oh and it's a ficus as I said earlier so does anyone no what species it is

I am will to bet it is a Ginseng ficus. Which is ficus retusa.
Google Ginseng ficus. Look at the pictures. If you have one of the plants that you see in the pictures, do a search no the forumfor all the advice you can find. There are a few hundred posts about these supermarket bonsai here.
