Not sure how to care for my ficus tree?! was created by bonsainewguy

Sorry I'm new to these forums.
I've just bought a ficus bonsai tree (1 month ago), But i'm having a couple of problems with it I'm not sure need addressing.
So, up until now I've been watering it every day. Its been constantly damp due to that was what I've been told to do from who i bought it off, but I'm now going to start only watering it when it gets dry. is this the correct way to water?
Some other (potential) problems:
- it hasn't grown much
- the ends of the shoots are mostly black
- there's some grass/weeds in the soil that have grown since i first bought it
- theres been fluffy mould growing on the top of the soil recently as well (only noticed it today)
are any of these that bad? Or just signs of overewatering?
Also, and most importantly, i'm not sure where to position it. so I'm in Leeds thats got an average temperature of around 6 degrees and getting colder. My bonsai is next to a window thats slightly cracked open, is this good or bad? The tree also gets some light from where it is, but no actual sun as my house is not facing the right way and blocked by houses (and leeds is mostly cloudy), is this sufficient for it to grow? Just a little bit of light?
I've read that drafts are bad for ficus trees so was thinking of maybe moving the tree somewhere else away from the window and maybe getting a special bulb that allows trees to grow, since its not really getting much light or any sun at the moment? would that be an ok thing to do? If so is there any special type of bulb I should get?
Any helo at all would be appreciated.
Could upload photos if thats easier

Ficus are tropical and need temperatures of 20 degrees on average to stay healthy. Much below this, and the tree will slowly deteriorate. Growing tips will die, leaves will get black etcetc. It also needs a lot of light.
