Hi,
I'm a super newb with bonsai care and first time poster looking for some advice about how to revive a dead (?) common juniper bonsai.
It's a small indoor sized bonsai and last Spring it grew magnificently - about 20-30% increase in size. I was watering just about before the soil felt dry and leaving it out in the sun when possible; UV lamp otherwise. Recently I mistakenly left it unattended for two weeks while on vacation. Upon arrival I found it completely dried out to the point where the branches easily snap off. I've tried watering it lately and it clearly isn't absorbing as much water as it used to.
What are the basic steps for reviving this tree? Should I re-pot with more nutritious soil even though we're approaching the winter months (dead season) here? I've attached an image of its current state.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

That was a Juniper. It is not and never will be an indoor plant. It is DEAD you have learned I hope the hard way that you kill Junipers inside.

Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that Junipers have no chance at growth/survival indoors? The fall/winter months get cold here, which make it impractical to place this little guy outside. It was growing beautifully up to this point (for about 2 years) when I neglected it while on vacation .
I'd still be interested in revival techniques regardless.
Thanks.

Junipers are hardy. Thy will survive at least -12C They need cold. The plant you have is dead, you cannot revive a dead plant. If you left it to get dry whilst on holiday that was the last nail in the coffin.

You'll need a necromancer. Also, it was not a bonsai.

Do not worry.
Did your juniper believe?
Even Jon came back, why a juniper couldn?t?
