I came across this forum a few days back and have already learnt alot and got some good advice.
I live in South Africa and i have two junipers, one is 6 years old my other is 7. They were grow from cuttings of a older tree. Ive always loved bonsais and done my research thoughly before getting my own. Ive had them now for almost a year. I wired the 6 year old bonsai at the begging of the season and have recently planted moss a few days back which they are suffering for shock so they did loose some color.
I have read up on the different tree styles but cant seem to match my oldest one. I would love for someone to help me identify the style. Any advice of what im doing right and wrong would be highly appreciated aswell
Looking forward to continue reading the great content on the site kind regards to all

It is a young juniper in a pot. It is not a bonsai and therefore it doesn't have a bonsai style.

I understand gardenweb has such forumsMiguelMartinho wrote: Cool thanks. ill Try find a "Juniper In A Pot" Forum rather. since my juniper bonsai is not a bonsai.
But in all fairness. It really is just a young unstyled junper in a pot. It would require styling before it has a style. And it requires some age (ideally a bigger trunk) before it would go towards bonsaihood.

i see what you mean. I was told also when repoting is required i should try using a larger pot and letting it grow freely for a few years and that should help with thickening the truck and then afterwards work on a style. Appreciate your input thank you.

Not a 名媛直播, but a mallsai. If you want a 名媛直播, do what you just said, or better of, plant it in the ground. Let it grow for 10~20 years

I was thinking the same, but taking a second look at the photo, the moss, the rock and the bent juniper, it looks like M iguel has taken a mallsai as example...

I read you wired one tree, but I think it was not this one?
Mallsai are young plants with decorative materials like (often) dead moss, a rock, and pebbles on top of the soil. They often have a typical S-shape or if they'r junipers, a bend to the right. Your tree resembles one of those.
