i dont want to buy a bonsai from a store, that feels kinda, i dont know, fake to me
Get a better book and or read a bit on respected websites growing a seedling into a bonsai is hard work, and requires the plant growing a lot. So in larger containers
Buying a bonsai, and keeping it on that level or even improving it is very hard. Dont underestimate how hard bonsai care can get!

I don't know your living situation and precise location, but look into digging up a couple trees and keep them alive in pots for a few years. During that time, read up as much as you can on the internet.
Of course...ALLWAYS ask for permission to dig up anything from the land owner.
