I have about 100 名媛直播 trees some better than others. Recently went away for 6 days. I checked the trees out before I left and gave them an antifungal spray. I have an auto matic watering device which comes on during the night. . Six days later I return to find havoc. A good 60% had severe black spot and a number of hornbeams and Zelkovas had a similar condition but the leaves looked like red toffee had been poured over them, sticky and ginger coloured. It was an awful sight.
I assumed it was all fungal problems but in 40 years I have never seen the toffee like stuff which had poured down over the leaves. Many trees I have stripped the leaves off and treated with copper based fungicide and used Hydrogen Peroxide. MY soil is all basically the same..Akadama. Pumice, Bark, Grit and Granite chicken pieces., where necessary there is some humus added.
Anyone had this happen ? could be overwatering. but can that cause so much damage in only 6 days. Weather was a mixture of sunshine and some drizzle.
