No clue heeeellllllpppp please dying tree was created by dadogsgonads
Posted 8 years 3 months ago #26492I aquired this bonsai tree a couple of months ago. Ive got no idea what type it is, if im looking after it propoerly/poorly or whats going on with it. It looks like its dying but is still very healthyat the bottom.... its positioned in the living room next to a window but not in any direct sun light... soil is slightly damp and watered about once a week or two. Can anyone help me bring this back to life, or does it shed its leaves during winter?? ive attached before and after pics.
Thanks everyone

While they often are sold as such, this is not a bonsai but a house plant. You do not need specific bonsai guidelines, but general guidelines for ficus.

Posted 8 years 3 months ago #26513Are you checking every day if the soil is moist?
In my indoor conditions the substrate in the pot of the size like yours gets dry in 3 days.
It might be that you are not giving it enough water.
Did you ever fertilize it?

Posted 8 years 3 months ago #26692It turns out I have the same kind of tree as you and I am having the same problem - See my post:
I just wondered what steps you have taken to resolve the situation with your tree and do they seem to be working?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you
Paul
