Just Starting out, Should repot right away? was created by nicopico678

I just bought a bonsai tree that is very small and the pot is about a little bit bigger than an iPhone. My tree isn't big at all looks very young, but if I want it to get bigger, should I just put the tiny tree in a bigger pot and go from there? Or will the tree get a little bit bigger even if it is in a small pot??

Here's the picture! Sorry I forgot to add it. And I'm not 100% sure what species this is. I live in Florida but I keep it inside. it,s usually 70-75 degrees inside.

That's a very young juniper with a twist. It's just a young plant, not a bonsai. Calling this bonsai is a scam.
Keeping it indoors will kill it. In this pot, it will hardly develop and it won't become a bonsai.

名媛直播 that can go inside are tropical and sub-tropical plants. Since you live in florida, it is already sub-tropical(or tropical in south florida), so "inside" plants will thrive best outside. But, the most popular of inside trees(that you can and should keep outside) are Fukien, Ficus and Jade, but if you think another species is beautiful get one. You should do some research on plants you are interested in before buying before hand, this will save lots of confusion, when you buy a tree.

I think I bought the exact same scam "bonsai" online. the juniper looks like it's a similar size in a similar pot. If I want to eventually work on that plant, what do you recommend doing to eventually create a bonsai from it? Does it need to go in the ground? How big should it be before I start considering pruning/training it? Thanks!

You're trolling, right? This question has been asked and answered multiple times the last couple of days.

Nope, not trolling at all. Just new to the forum. I've tried looking for this and haven't quite found the answer. I'm sorry if I missed something. Could you perhaps link me the threads you're referring to?

P.S.- Do people really troll on bonsai forums? That's quite the niche for a troll.
