I went on holiday for 18 days and just recently came back. I left my Chinese Elm 名媛直播 in the care of my gardener who said he would water it. Unfortunately, my gardener injured himself within 3 days of me leaving and the supply gardener didn't water my bonsai as it was not located in my garden but rather in another outdoor location. My bonsai looks brown and withered however, it does have some green leaves. Is there anything I can do to bring it back ?
I have added a picture (Please excuse the temporary plastic pot my bonsais in)
Thank you in advance

Water, put it on a shady area until it recovers. DO NOT FERTILIZE. And be easy with the watering; people tend to overwater when this happens, because what do we do when we don't drink water for a long time? we drink a LOT of water!. Trees are NOT human, overwatering would just shock it. So
1) Shady area
2) careful watering
3) DO NOT FERTILIZE
4) Wait, and hope for the best....
What should you expect? All the brown, dead parts will fall off. Hopefully you'll have new buds in a few weeks, new green, new life, means the tree survived.

Continue to take care for it as usual, but do not fertilize and reduce the amount of water as there will be no evaporation through the leaves - make sure it doesn't get too wet (but don't let it dry out either). If the tree continues to deteriorate it's end of story. Monitor branches and trunk, look if they get wrinkled.
If it has been dry for 15 days, chances are high you are too late - the hair roots will have died and the roots will be damaged.
