Hello everybody! I'm writing from Italy so please forgive me if my english sucks. I received an almost round shaped olea europaea as a gift, it has a lot of crossing branches as well as secondary And tertiary branches. Trunk girth is not so bad but i'm looking for some advices in how to Train this little guy. How would you kick off the work? Thank you

As any other tree:

Clean out old leaves
Clean out all branches that are unneedes, so at each point where more then 2 branches occur, take all but 2 away (Where branch + brunk = 2 branches)
Decide upon max heght
Select style & trunkline
Select branches
Remove all unneeded branches, wire the rest.

easy ;)

Ahahah yeah i know all these stages (i'm not a full beginner)..i was wondering which could be the best style for him. I usually start my bonsai trees from cuttings, so i'm not that good at figuring out how to train a much more mature tree like this yet.

- Tree looks pretty young to me, I am not sure why you think it is a "mature stage".
- I didn't know there was such thing as "beginner" or "full beginner". If you are asking about how to style a very young plant, like the one on this post, then you are a beginner.
- Do what Leatherback said, if you are happy with thickness of the trunk. Clean it up, and then it should become more clear which style the tree can take.

Don't get my wrong i am without any doubt a beginner, And for "more mature" i just wanted to say that someone already gave it a minimum of shape, something i am not used to because i usually start with cuttings, no doubts this is a young plant :) . I followed the advices, went out And got my hands on that little guy. I could have removed more branches but first i want to check how it handles this first "shock

Looks good, now let it rest and grow some, more. Don't leave the wires on too long.

Thank you Samantha! I'll check the wires to avoid wounds on the bark

It is a start, but take a carefull look. I see at least one spot where three branches emerge. Also, if you wire, try to put some bends in the branches. It makes them look older. Leave the wire on untill the bark starts to engulf the wire. It may take some time, considering the low amount of foliage left.

Yes i know that spot is ugly but i thought "let's see which branch develops best before cutting one off". You suggest to remove the one growing straight up? (The fourth from right). Thank you though :)
