Sad 名媛直播! was created by KatieElizabeth

Hi all,

I know you're probably all fed up of hearing about 名媛直播 issues but I'm a newbie and have a very sad tree!
We were given a Japanese Holly (Ilex) as a gift and were told that it would be happy indoors as long as it was given the right conditions. For the first couple of weeks it seemed to be fine, fresh shoots and leaves grew and it seemed to be happy. About 3 weeks ago the leaves started to look a little dry, then some started to turn yellow. It lives in a window that receives sunlight but not intense/direct sunlight, it gets watered when the soil appears to be drying out and we mist it occasionally. As the weather has recently got particularly hot we wondered if it had dried out too much and needed more water so we immersed the soil in water (as advised online) however there have been no improvements, if anything it has got worse. The leaves are dropping off and even the smaller branches have become brittle. I don't know if we have over watered it, under watered it or it has a disease. The roots appear to be fine, but I wouldn't know what to look for if they weren't . The trunk seems to have wrinkled a little too.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Katie

sad = dead in this case, I am afraid. The tree MIGHT have a little bit of fight in it. Try burrying the plant in the garden, and see whether it gets back to live. But I am giving it very littl survival chances.

Oh no, really? Is there nothing I can do? We don't have the space to plant it outside because we live in a flat. We were assured it would be okay inside because of the type of tree :(
