Hi everyone!
I am completely new to plants - indoor and out. I have recently moved into a condo that gets a lot of light and is quite warm during the day. I purchased a Japanese maple bonsai after being told it's easy to care for in the store. With the sun the condo has received over the last few days, many of the top leaves have already burnt! I have moved the plant of course, and placed it on the balcony in indirect light/shade and it seems the leaves have slightly opened up. After extensive research I am under the impression that it is too late to deleaf.. would this be correct??? I' not sure how to go about best helping the plant at the moment and welcome ANY and all help. Thank you so very much I APPRECIATE it all feedback !
ai plant, Japanese Maple's should be left outdoors. As I already stated ANY help is appreciated and even more so if and where it should be placed. Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you!

I was also curious as to the best fertilizer and when to fertilize this plant in particular. I've read that fertilizing a sick tree isn't a good idea though in this case burnt leaves don't seem to signify a sick tree.
Thank you again.
Thank you again.

Leave it alone. Put it in a shaded place, say, underneath a larger tree where it gets early morning/late evening sun.
The plant will drop the leaves it want to drop. Do not defoliate.
Water once the topsol dries out a little.

thank you!
Only problem is I live in a condo so it's either indoors or balcony! My balcony faces east, so potentially indoors where it receives indirect light could be better? When purchased I was told specifically direct light for a few hours a day will be more than okay however, that is why my poor tree has burnt leaves Here is hoping leaving it alone will work I was told because of Calgary's dry climate, potentially we may need to re-plant it so it gets more water and with additional rocks.

A balcony facing east must be great... do you think if it was in the corner of the balcony that's not so hot and sunny, maybe ... Trees just love it outside.
It doesn't look any where near dead, right now, it's just a little sad.
Good thing it's on the east. could you just imagine, all the snow from the mountains to the west.
no make it grow

plants need to get used to sun, so slowly adjust them to full sun by first allowing only early morning sun. inside is a lot darker then outside!
