Auk your June Beatles seem more talented than ours, about all ours do is bounce off light bulbs and get stuck in butter.

I have always used the names Japanese beetles and June bugs interchangeably. I think they are the same thing. They are shiny, have iridescent green heads and rust colored wing covers. When breeding the diamond shape behind the head bloats up and looks like a emerald crystal ball and the other gendergets these bulbous spots on their wing covers. They start to come out in late may early June. They are eating my weeping cherry tree and having "relations" doggy style all day long when they are not eating my leaves. I googled and see now that the June bugs do not have green heads.

Soon there will be fuzzy larvae attached to the leaves. Watch closer, they keep eating while mating.
