Someone gave me a Dwarf Alberta Spruce in a one gallon nursery container. Is this an okay time of the year to put this in a bonsai training pot.
I would use new bonsai soil. I live in the Midwestern United States and it is fairly hot here now. My thinking is that I should get it into some proper soil and out of the container. Any thought on this would be appreciated. Thanks-Ray

No, this is not a good time for a bonsai pot at all. If you put it in the ground, and made sure, it was well watered, the rest of the summer, it might survive. Sometimes people leave them in the pot, until spring. That's why they're half price, these days.
Oh Yes! it's a good time to get cheap plants, it just takes extra care.
Then again, is it ready for a "名媛直播 Pot"? Normally, we keep them in the ground, and in training pots, for a few years, before we pick out a bonsai pot.

you have to leave it in its pot as Samantha suggests, with original soil. It is all about watering. So just be careful not to overwater. Just see it as an opportunity to improve watering skills. Is the tree ready for a 名媛直播 pot? next year you might consider a smaller, shallower pot instead of a tiny 名媛直播 pot. Do it in steps.
