Please help! I am new to bonsai and I've had a Chinese elm for about two months. I started out by cutting off a few unwanted leaves and branches before spring to let it grow out which I have been doing. I feel like I'm watering correctly ( mostly water til it seeps out the bottom holes and then wait til the soil starts to dry). The tree does have some bugs but I have been pretty good about removing them( wiping leaves and spraying with water/dish soap solution). Please let me know what you think from the pictures of the leaves I've posted and let me know if you need more info or pics.thanks

The leaves are of different size, and slightly yellow.

Is there something specific you want to know about the leaves?

I would be more interested in the 'bugs' you have on your tree. Handling leaves and branches too much ALSO damages a plant.
