Hello All,

I got this bonsai tree as a gift with no care instructions.
Could you please help me to identify the plant in the first place as I have no idea what it is? Also if anyone has any ideas how to care for this plant I would be very thankful for any advice!

Your tree is most defiantly a Ficus and is tropical and so it should be either well protected in cold weather either in an indoors location with good lighting and or a green house if available or at the very least protected in some area out of direct winds and freezing temperatures, It is considered to be an indoor plant and often used as bonsai. However it can and will thrive in a nice sunny to semi sunny location in an outdoor location of your choice patio or garden. Of course remember to bring it back into a protected area in cold weather or winter months.

Water well as to keep moist but not totally wet and fertilize Mid March till November at least once a month. A good fertilizer is a time released one such as Osmocote. Hope this was helpful.

It looks to be badly potted and in very poor soil and in desperate need of re potting.
