i need help id-ing my tree i have a bonsai i bought from the store and it. It has a big grey root and three fat plump split offs it has round shiny green deciduous leafs. I can most likey post a picture.

Doesn't sound like it is a bonsai. Could be a Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng (as you're saying it is a big root). Or a Jade tree (as it has round shiny leaves). Or a broomstick - as it's made of wood. It's probably not a pine or a juniper (as it 's deciduous). That leaves us only a couple of thousand possibilities.

Taxonomically speaking, with the information you have supplied, it seems likely that this is a species from :

Kingdom: Plantae

Like any other room plant. It's not a bonsai.

And oh... Ficus is NOT deciduous. It's not supposed to loose all those leaves.
