OK I do do see what your question may be, but the answer;... yes in place of Saturday morning cartoons, we get these, oh whatever they call it. we use to call it propaganda. but one morning they talked about how they grew veggie spouts in this brick building with no windows. They used LED lights only a few colors though. Is this what you want?
I wouldn't know, you see I just want sunshine. My brothers sat around and wondered what colors they need to grow a certain illicit plant, that's not yet legal in all fifty states. As far as I know, its only good for baby spinach, lettuce, and other little green things that make a pretty cool salad.
Yes these plants would have to have the right temperature too. Now a tree will not grow very fast at a constant 60 degrees. any way it can be done with
LED Christmas tree lights, if you get the colors. As far as I know, its only been done with salad, perhaps we should give it a try, doubt if it would make your tree grow any faster.
Please let us know if it works, I'll tell if it works for me

I grow ficus bonsai, and do not use artificial lightning. They suffere a little the 2 darkest months of the yera. The rest of the time they are fine with natural light.
In summer I try to get them outside as much as possible to get them beefed up for winter.
I very much dislike the idea of using electricity just to light up plant species that do not belong in my climatic region, which is why I never have, and probably never will, use grow lights.

Greetings friend,
First of all accept my appologies if my answer offended you, it didn't meant to, it just tried to state a clear fact, there is nothing like "The Sun" for the good health of our trees.
Now regarding you question and trying to add something new to everything already said... I have a Ficus myself and yes I put it indoors when winter months come, but I do so to protect it from cold and place it in front of an east facing window (ideally one facing south would be best, but I don't have none). These months my tree suffers, that is why I try to minimize indoor time, so from late November to late February is kept sheltered, but as soon as temperatures begin to increase it goes out directly outside. However, to water the tree I always take it out, no matter the time, that of course until the water completely runs out the pot. One more think, while you have your tree indoors try to keep it away from any artificial heat source.
Hope this might have been of help...
