I bought some Japanese maple seeds from TJ Maxx. I know that may sound odd, but I really want them to grow. I followed the instructions with the growing kit, so they are in the refrigerator now. It said to do that in order to simulate winter and I will be taking them out soon and placing them in sunlight per: the instructions to simulate spring. I hope that the seeds grow and if they do, I want to grow the tree into a bonsai and I have no idea how to do so...
If the seeds don't work, I plan to do this in another way, because I want to grow a bonsai from a Japanese maple. I'm just looking for some help.

Hey, welcome to the forum.
If you are in the northern hemisphere, the BEST way to simulate winter is to.. Just put them outside. Nature knows!
Do you realize that starting from seed is not the best way to get into growing bonsai? Although it is fun to do (Although it can be frustrating, while more often then not, seeds bought are not germinating; You need to get the seeds from reputable dealers), growing from seed is a very long process.
Even in Japan bonsai nurseries do not grow bonsai from seed, but each phase is done by a different nursery..
