Hi!
As you can see on the first picture, trunks on the right didn't taper well, so my primary objective is the trunk second from the left. The trunk first on the left is really great, but branched out three ways and branches got into new trunks hah, so it would look very ugly to cut any of those, but the whole trunk. Also, I think there are two separate specimens here, the good trunks on the left and bad on the right, separately planted. Any new view on this would be very appreciated.

If I see this well on my cell phone, it's very promising and didn't occur to me. I'll see better when I get to the bigger screen. Also,it's way of it's supposed height now, I just cut the enormous bush now, so I could see more clearly, and didn't have the time to cut more. Tomorrow I'm going to cut it to it's supposed height.

You might want to let it sprout some branches and see what lives before cutting it back to height. Not all plants come back well from cut-off stumps. I believe liguster mnay suffer die-back if you get a bit of frost. Then in the new year, when there is growth, cut back?

If it's recovery you worry about, don't. Ligustrum here will grow unless you burn it haha.I have frost the whole winter and temperature often goes below 10 below zero, and have a lot of younger and older specimens used for other purposes.I was thinking of postponing further cuts because of the next thing, to see where I get new branches,so I can cut just above the new grown. Seemed to me it would be better to judge on the desired appearance then.
