Hello,
I recently transferred my Japanese Juniper from a small pot to a larger one in order to grow the tree. After removing the old soil and cutting some of the smaller roots, I repotted the tree in a larger pot with potting soil I purchased from the local hardware store. I watered the soil thoroughly but after 3 weeks, the tree is drying out. I typically keep it outside under shade and bring it indoors at night. The person that I bought tree from said it was seven years old at the time of purchase, so it's 8 years old now. Any suggestions?

For next time; Keep it outside at all times and do not cut off the roots in winter.
This plant is dead, and probably a cutting of 2 yrs old.

The mother plant, maybe. This cutting is not more than 2, 3 years old.

Thanks for the reply Leatherback and AUK. Is there any chance of saving the tree?
