Ficus Microcarpa Styling and overall care tips was created by rakkso

Hello!

I have this Ficus which I dont know what to do with.
So I'm looking for some suggestions as to which style to aim for and what not.
All suggestions, images of plausible styles and so on are welcome.

Are there any branches you would wire? Any branches I should cut?

Thanks in advance!

You have nothing you can style.
There are no branches you can wire. There are no branches you need to cut.

Just let it grow.

So i should just let it grow for some time, and then start thinking about how to style it?

What if it grows to become an ugly tree??

At some point, yes. That point is after a year or so of abundant growth.

The plant at the moment is weak, with tiny thin branches. First ge a full grown of leaves on there. So let the branches grow say another 20cm which means aanother 15 or so leaves on each branch. When you hit mid-summer, the tree is then lush, healthy and full of branches. You can bend and place ficus branches even when they are over a cm thick, so don't worry about the tree being ugly. Your worry should be about health.
