japaneses maple tree

i got a japanese maple tree and i wanted to know what to do with it in the winter it gets blow -15 to 10 and idk what to do with it its small and has 2 leavs other leaves fell off and i have it in a pot (not bonsai pot just a plain orenge ceramic pot) so it can grow becuse it was in a small pot its about its about 8 inch tall i just got it from amazon i swill show a pic in chat but i cant now plz help!!!!!!

Is that F or C bellow ..
I just stack a bunch of cinder blocks, on the south side of the house. and fill it with mulched leaves. Straw, or peat, aught a work.
But then...
If you get, two, three feet of snow, it might break some branches. You might try to direct the drifts from your trees.
then again, maybe they'll live any way
If not, you get more next spring ... It's an odd hobby

Snow is actually a really good protector from the ccold. Rather than removing it, make sure the trees get well covered. I wonder wether anybody here has actually had branches on their bonsai breack because of snow

That just won't happen, unless maybe when you have a large bonsai, in training, with very long and thin shoots.
Otherwise the branches just won't collect enough snow to even bend.
