I'm good with my tropical plants, but for the life of me I cannot find alot of wintering info on those two trees, I live in western virginia, in the mountains. It gets pretty cold in the wintertime, and was just wondering at what temp do they need protection? I do have a nice dark cool she'd I can store them in. Thanks for any info.

How did you manage not to find that?
Which cherry does it concern exactly? Prunus Serrulata?
"The average, annual, minimum temperature zone where Prunus serrulata is cold hardy
USDA Zone:5 -20° to -10°F (-29° to -23.5°C)"
( )
Checking your averages they won't need any protection.

In general, I would say these need some protectiuon when temperatures drop below about -10 celcius for any period of time. However, do make sure they are out of the wind & sun in periods of extended frost as these may dry out the plant, killing it already with warmer temperatures.
