Good day all..please I hope you can help this amateur. My darling wife bought me this beautiful outdoor bonsai two weeks ago. Unfortunately she disposed of the care instructions and its name/variety. It is now showing signs of yellowing to the leaves.
So please does anyone know what he is and if he is ill what could it be. Am I over watering/under watering??... Many thanks in anticipation.

Thank you for that. It confirms what I have just discovered and spent the last two hours reading about. He is indeed a Pseudolarix, a Golden or false Larch. I have been wisely informed not to panic about the yellowing as would you be live it it is the fall after all and this is one of the Larch's best feature during Fall.
As for re potting, although as Bob (thanks Bob) pointed out, he does need re-potting it is not a good time to do so as the Larch will get a bit ticked off unless carried out in Feb/March.
Thanks for helping out guys, much appreciated, and looking forward to my new interest.

I think it would benefit from being outside as well, consider the air flow and humidity.
