hi again, last spring i dug this boxwood an put it in this tub, its doing well and has new growth, its spring again, should i trim the roots and plant it in its new bonsai pot, or should i prune it? or can i do both now?
also can anyone confirm it is a boxwood, and does it even have potential to make a good bonsai?

After looking at his profile, I believe Lee Beckett resides in the Falkland Islands...

It looks like excellent material. If you are just starting it, it would be worth your effort to find someone who knows his.her way around bonsai to work on this tree.

i really wish i could, in a country with only 2800 people, iv yet to find 1 person that shares my interest, thats why i joined this forum, which is brilliant and very helpful!!
would it be best to trim the roots and repot this spring then start trimming it back next spring? i dont want to rush into anything that could harm the plant
