Hi all, can I put my grafted fig ( ficus microcarpa retusa ) outdoors, or do I need to keep it indoors.

Nope, it will be too cold tonight. You'll need to wait till november/december.

Ficus, being originary from tropical and subtropical geographic zones don?t like low temps and won?t react well at all, if temps fall lower than 15?C. So, you should make sure that this won?t happen for long periods of times. At the same time Ficus are great sun lovers and are not that demanding... So, put it outside when the time is right, take good care of it and you?ll see it blossom alright.

A good search string in Google would be: "ficus microcarpa temperature tolerance"

The first hit tells me:
" When temperatures drop below 13°C (55°F) Ficus microcarpa may suffer long-term damage, especially when the plant is young."
