Hi,
I'm new to this forum and to bonsai in general. I've just inherited this tree which is looking a bit poorly and I'd like to bring it back to health if possible.
Can anyone advise what species it is and what I need to do to fix it?
I've given it a good water and i've got some bonsai fertiliser so i'll use some of that too. I thought about maybe repotting it too, how can I tell if it needs this?
Thanks

I does not look poorly, it looks a bit dead. Fertiliser will just be a waste as it is will not be able to use it. As for species can't tell, could be a ficus could be a Chinese Elm, or a serrissa.
