Get it healthy and strong again. Then thin out the canopy and consider how you would like to style the plant.

Thanks. Do you have any ideas as to how best a plant like this would be thinned? How do i know what foliage to remove? I understand this varies between species, but any information you have would be much appreciated. I am still new to bonsai (no where near the caliber i see on websites like this or in galleries, though i can only hope to one day get there), so i don't know if a question is valid or stupid.

While it grows new roots, and works it's way back to health (might take a year or so), go to you tube and watch bunches of bonsai videos, most of those guys do good trimming work. Read some of the articles, then use your imagination, and hope for the best. Us newbies make all the mistakes any way, so expect that.

Hi there,

You might want to subscribe to this youtube channel:

Lots of good quality info and always a source of inspiration. Bjorn Bjorholm it?s a great artist. Oh and... Generally, there are not stupid questions on 名媛直播, yours wasn?t either. I think it would have been worst not to ask ;)

Thanks alainleon,

This is a really good series, great trees too. I'll need to put a shortcut on the desk top.
