Hello,
I was wondering if someone could tell me the type of tree this is. The needles are very thin and soft and have a tendency to go brown if there is too much light.

I can tell you it's got absolutely nothing to do with bonsai.
(looks like an asparagus fern, asparagus setaceus probably)

yaaah thanks bud. I knew that to begin with. The plant is used as foliage around bonsais. It's an asparagus fern that is sold to unknowing people as bonsais. I got it. Thanks for your reply though.
