Hi everybody,
I made me this penjing recently consisting of 1 bigger and 2 smaller ulmuses.
Bigger one was 2 months indoors by the south facing window for about 2 months before installing on stone, small ones were brand new just few days home.
I need advices why some leaves on bigger one are turning yellow.
Penjing is on full sun for abouth a month now, being watered 2-3 times a day, so not enough water cannot be the reason, I always check substrate before watering and it is always moist at least.
Substrate is of zeolit at the bottom and bonsai substrate from shop.
I pruned the top and there are lot of buds showing up and leaves are generally nice and green-brown.
But everyday few of them turn yellow and fall off.
Anyone any idea why?
All of the trees are wired to stone plate properly.
I feed once a week with liquid fertilizer.

Chinese Elms will do that after repotting, change of environment, or just when they feel like it
