Ok hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to bonsai tree growing. I'm looking to get a bonsai tree and have done research but still need help. I'm in a bit of a jam. I was looking for a bonsai and love the looks of them and the fact that you shape them. But here is my problem, my house is surrounded by trees tall trees with a lot of canopy cover. And I have absolutely no sun come through my windows, not a lot anyway. So how could I grow one. I don't have a grow light either. I do have a 2 bulb t5ho light fixture with a 10k day light and a 10k actinic. Would this work. And also are there any beginner bonsai for indoor plants. It has to be an indoor plant because I had bought an oak bonsai a while back and it did great outside but there's a forest behind me and an animal tore the tree and pot into shreds. Thanks for any responses I'm really excited to get another tree.

I think if your starting with bonsai you are better off outside, than fiddling with light bulbs in a shaded room . It is a recipe for failure in my opinion.

Correctly positioning our trees is of paramount interest, accordingly some criterias must be met. However, this is not difficult to understand... Here is a short and light reading on the matter, curiously enough this is the main idea on this subject: Plants must greet the sun everyday!
