Hi everyone
My Japanese maple leaves are going yellow and I dont know why . I have been told that a plant does this when it lacks nutrients but I have fed it 3 days ago and some leaves seem to be getting worse any leads ?

They look ok, leaves do change colour with varying amounts of sun etc. Adding fertiliser 3 days ago will not have shown any effect yet.

Its in a mixture of grit sand, gravel , perlite and coco coir
1-1-1-1 its ph level is still on 7 but im trying to lower it gradually as I heard that maples like it a bit acidic .
I had to improvise a little as my spending budget is very low right now
Thanks

I see in the photo that the maple is exposed to sunlight. Maples like to be in parcial shade.
Maple leafs may be burnt by direct sunlight exposition.

My maples get direct sunlight with no problems. Only in mid-summer to I get some scorged tips. But yellowing of foliage .. It might be an indication of magnesium shortage, which often is related to substrate issues or a lack of proper fertiliser.

By the way.. Do not try to measure soil PH. It cannot be done accurately with home-kits.

I am in Scotland the sun we get here is very little and not as strong as you get it in spain (I wish it was lol )
It only gets about 3 to 4 hours of morning sun if its lucky :) .
and regarding the fertiliser I use I noticed that I does actually have quite a low percentage of magnesium but the phosphorus isn't too high.
I have been recommended this one because I am using coco coir as soil here is a photo of the one I use

Is it not ok for this sort of plant or am I doing something wrong ?
Thanks for the replies

Ps : I noticed that I wrote that the phosphorus isn't too high but I realized that its the potassium that interferes with the magnesium intake and it is quite high in the fertiliser I use :(

My maples have full sun all day with no problem. Lack of water at the roots is the main cause of leaf damage. My maple leaves are similar colour, they are fine. The fertiliser is fine, it is too easy to fuss when there is no problem. The product you have is what it says, a tonic and not much good as fertiliser. I use Green Dream which is avaiable from Kaizen 名媛直播, it is excellent for growth as well as flowers.
