hello everyone
I just discovered that there is a little tree growing in a hidden corner of my back garden and have no idea what it could be but it look like a good candidate for a bonsai.
Anyone have a clue what it is and can anyone help me collect it to be a bonsai ?
THANKS
Nico

Looks like either a walnut or a fraxinus. Neither of which make particularly good subjects for bonsai, unless you find very old, thick material.

Oh ok thanks I looked them up it looks alot like a fraxinus . The trunk is quite a bit thick compared to the hieght and its a bit twisted and interesting so it may be worth potting plus im hoping to gain some experience at collecting from the wild . I also just realised that its quite close to a big stump of a tree and im suspecting that it may be part it . Its growing in stone chips near stone slabs it seems pretty difficult to take out , any ideas on how I could manage it ?
thanks
Nico

I would not bother. It is way to small to make anything realistic out of.
