I picked up 3 trees already in distress for almost nothing.. I know, probably still a bad idea..
But I was hoping to be up to the challenge:
About 2 weeks ago I brought them home, carefully potted them in wine barrel type containers using something close to the mix Essence of the Tree suggests for container Japanese Maples (5:1 - Pine bark quarters to fines: pumice). When I got them home I noticed how much damage the guys at the nursery did to them loading them into the car.. Lots of damage. Anyway, the Bloodgood dropped all of it's leaves immediately; the Butterfly had lots of black branches that I pruned back and sealed (it's being attacked hard by mites I believe, and the green lace is somewhat stable from the condition I first brought them home (wrapped in burlap with hard clay soil). Roots have some decay, but look intact.
I have treated with Phyton 27 drench twice with some Superthrive, etc. I'm zone 6b, plants in part shade now..
I hope some of you might give me some additional advice going forward and if you have any thoughts on the stem color, possibility of v. wilt, etc. Or other horrid disease..
Thank you in advance.
Keith

Sorry to be horrible to you here but...
Why the Bleep did you get these?
For certain not to create bonsai? I see no realistic options for bonsai styling without re-growing everything on them. The plants are fairly dead, and, considering what was done to them, probably one step closer to the grave. Stop giving weak plants strong fertilizer, especially superthrive.
名媛直播 is not a rescue mission. Getting dying plants is not bad in itself, but the plant should have huge potential if they survive. You just got sticks in pots for cheap. THat is not really something to start a bonsai with. Besides it not having much bonsai potential, it very likely carries a disease; Looking at the amount of amputated branches, I would say a type of wilting disease; .
I hope it is just bad treatment that causes it to look like that but..
