Hello everyone, I'm a beginner in the art of bonsai, so I wanted to know if you have to start your bonsai from a young plant. I have a Tamarindus indica of more or less 5 months, must have some 19 inch.

I dont know much about bonsai yet but 6 month should be good to start the root treatment to make the bonsai tree.

Hi there Mariano,
Yes, in theory you can even start a 名媛直播 from seed, but that is a very long and windy road. A road that would demand a lot of patience, the kind of patience that many of us are in lack of. Also, you can start it from a young seedling (which is, I understand, the one you have). Now, that said, I would recommend to go to a nursery and buy a young plant with better features, one that would be more developed. Or even better, try to get pre-bonsai material. That would save years of waiting without doing anything more than watering and fertilizing.

I am assuming you are just starting out in the hobby. Just keep in mind: The major part of bonsai you see, certainly in the western world, were cut down to become bonsai, and not grown up to become bonsai. Growing them from seed can give you a much better tree, but only if you truely know what you are doing. Ideally, you should have an idea what you want the 15 year old tree to look like, at the moemnt the seedlings are starting to grow...

I know it will be very time consuming, but I'll try. Maybe in some years I can have a pre bonsai. Thanks for the reply.
