I wonder which feeds are better and cheaper. As for sitting on the soil and attacting pests.. Have you ever seen fertilizer cakes? Anyway.. I would recommend using chicken manure if you can get it. It is dirt cheap (I got it as pellets at 10ct per kilo) and is high in NPK and many trace elements. The smell is gone after 2 waterings.

Oh, when i have used chicken manure for my plants, it smells of-well, clues in the name. I had pest problems with it. There must be a difference with british and dutch chicken manure then. I am currently using fish blood and bone, i have been using it for about a year and its been doing good. Chicken manure is on average ?1 per kilo-crazy times.
