You are right LB, not in that quote but in instead: "Boxwood have many good characteristics that are useful for bonsai. Dark green leaves that reduce well, naturally short internodes and they can take hard pruning that prompts prolific back budding."

That line is not incorrect. It does not say ALL boxwood have dark green leaves.

But I have another problem though:
Some of the leaves are turning yellow and falling off (very Serissa-ish). I just had it for roughly 5 days and I'm worried it doesn't like its new environment. I live in Asia and I got it from a much cooler region of the country and brought it over to my place which is slightly hotter. It had a few yellow leaves before I got it and I'm seeing even more yellow now. Should I be alarmed?
One good thing though, it's continuing to grow branches, leaves, and buds.
Help.

Alright, alright... I?m stubborn sometimes, I acknowledge that fact. :pinch: My mistake. I keep learning anyway and that is a good thing. Thank you both, LB and Auk

I hope you can see the yellow leaves, I'm not sure if I'm over watering it or if it's drying up.
There are new sprout of buds and leaves though, and the branches are really out of shape. I wonder if I can wire them as early as 2 weeks since a recent location transfer?

Samantha wrote: "Serissa or Boxwood" neither, the leaves just don't seem rounded enough, to me :S. There's not enough yellow to worry about. Just trim some of the stay branches, it'll be fine. I really don't see any reason to wire it, it's a very pretty tree . Thanks for sharing the pictures, It gives me great inspiration.
And I thought it was Serissa, LOL! Am I even close?
Thanks for the feedback by the way. I'm thinking it can probably use some ramification and maybe a thicker trunk. Anybody know a good method for adding girth to the trunk? Thanks in advance.
