Hi :) I just picked this little bonsai up the other day, it's look-alike buddies were marked schefflera but after googling images I'm not so convinced. Can anyone tell me what it is?

. I am not sure that it is schefflera either. Not a particularly good species for bonsai, but a good plant for the house.

It looks a little like Oleander, but, more likely, is a podocarpus. Certainly not schefflera

Yeah, as you said most likely a lavender, but would not advise it as bonsai, it only lives up to 15 years.

Yes, but I would not discard the possibility of oleander, if it is, then do not eat it, wash your hands after touching it, oleander is poisonous.

This is a rare occasion, Bob. Mark it in your calendar: I agree. That it's an Oleander. Wouldn't know why you would want to try and eat it though, it's not my habit eating my bonsai, except my Rosemary ;)

Thanks for the input everyone... I'm starting to think though that it could be a type of ficus? I took a leaf off the plant and a white substance (latex?) leaked out from where the stem was attached to the branch. When I broke the leaf in half though there was no white substance. I found some ficus pics that look similar in a book. I'll attach a photo from google.
