I recently bought a bonsai tree for me and my fiance. It is fairly small and need help with the species so I can properly take care of it. Thank you for any replies.

It is a juniper, and if you have it inside it will die. Also get rid if the rocks they are not doing it any good either.

I live in New Mexico, its very dry and hot out here. Are you sure I should keep it outside?

Why not? It is a totally hardy species and right now is not looking too good, it needs sun and air. Put it somewhere that gives a bit of shade and keep well watered and hopefully it will recover.

Do keep outside. Water when it drys out. Mist it too. And if you like the rocks keep them and enjoy it. Have fun.
