Welcome. What country are you in? Do you have any plants or are you thinking about what to grow?

Geoff is right, your country is very important. but if you wish for an outdoor bonsai in a temperate climate, may i suggest a chinese elm or a japanese maple. but is you wish for a bonsai indoors, then is it is fairly warm in your home, then a ficus will be good, but if you have quite a cool room temperature, then a chinese elm with a higher lower zone toleration might be good.
hope this has helped.
good luck

He's in India. Japanese maple is a bad advice. Ficus indoor is a bad advice. Chinese elm is probably not a very good advice.
"Apart from coconut and palm trees, you can make bonsais from any Indian tree. Preferably, choose a small-leaved tree as it adds to the miniaturised effect. The various ficus varieties, rain trees, and blueberries are a few of the many options"

Ficus is in the list of trees that are recommended. I was not referring to the tree, but to the advice to keep it indoors.
I think he's from India as Sithique Hasan writes he is 'from ind'.

Not really, I could not see that either. I don't know the species available in India, but yes any native species would probably work depending on leaf size. I would not grow anything inside there.
Ficus of a suitable species would be good.

if my knowledge is correct, then the indian laurel may be a good local plant, it is also known as ficus microcarpa.
