I just bought this tree and I would like to know its kind/species for me to take good care of it.

Not 100% sure but it looks like a Pepper Tree (Zanthoxylum?). No personal experience of this species though, sorry

Man...how you do it? I?ve been trying to identify this tree for an hour now and I just couldn?t. You?ve been around for how long? 15-20 minutes and you already know which tree it is. You rock man. I just looked at this species you said, and it looks pretty much the same as the one of the pictures m0hd uploaded.

Just a lucky guess... but I have been interested in bonsai for 20 years or so

just a hint: next time you buy a tree you don't know -> ask the sales people to identify it for you

regarding what Cronic said, It's only sold commercially in 1 indoor plants store where I live.. I asked! All they know about it is that it's a "bonsai". I know bonsais more than they do(thanks to bonsaiempire ).

I don't think bonsais are well known, it's just an other indoor tree to most indoor plants stores here.
Too bad for me since my interest in bonsais is growing by the day.


And now since we know what species it is, Anyone know any special care instructions for this kind?
