hi,
I need help with identification of a pine.I bought this plant 3 years ago,the person was unable to tell me what species it was.
I was more interested in deciduous trees at the time and didn't know what to do with it.
I want to start working on it in the springtime.I looked a lot on the web but i am not sure what specie it is.
It has 2 leafs in a bundle i first thought it was a Pinus Sylvestris but now i am not so sure.
i post it on a other forum 3 weeks ago,but got mixed response.
If anybody knows what species it is, please let me know.
Thanks.

Looks a bit like Mugo to me. What country are you in? It does help.

OK, the other possibility is the Austrian Pine which also had big needles,

The needles and bark look like Mugo. The trunk has nice movement / shape. Could be a very nice bonsai with some training. Good luck.
