please help me identifying this Tree

i found it in Tunisia,this one is about 80 cm tall,but some of the Trees was more than 2 meterwith bald trunk and leafs in the Top..

I don't know what species it is, but it has the most appaling graft and is not suitable for bonsai. Plant it in the ground and let it grow into a tree. Look for something without a graft.

i don't think that is a graft it is side growth due to the trunk cut. anyway the stump will need to be cut back and the deadwood ground out. eventually the scar will heal over the wound (10+ years ) and something may be able to be made out of it.as for the species I haven't a clue. I agree with Geoff and you should plant it in the ground to let it grow.you can still do pruning ,being in the ground will help healing the damage faster

It is not a Trident, the leaves are all wrong. It is a temperate species, but what I am not sure.
