how do I make the muck that Chris used to build bag-end?

which muck would that be? You mean the bricks of the house? hese were made of old roofing tiles. But you can best read the article on how it was built. Do a search on the bonsaiempire site.

the muck for building the structure up. I did the search and I read how to build it, but the term muck was used with saying what that was. Is it a mixture of clay and peat and what form is the clay in or even better a manufacturers name would be helpful,.

traditionally akadama dust is used but any unfired clay based material mashed to a powder can be used. basically its clay mortar with sphagnum moss as a binder. the clay and moss are formed into the walls of the "pot" for the tree to grow in.
