I'm not sure what this is, it's my first tree and I'd like to to know what it is so I can nurse it properly. Any advise would be most welcome....My guess is a Privet Ligustrum, but I'm not sure.

I'm fairly sure it is a ficus but what sort i am too uncertain to answer.

it is a "ginsing" ficus which is a mass produced style. basically it is a ficus retusa(microcarpa) grafted to a bulbous root system to resemble the look of a ginsing plant. the roots will never look like a regular ficus tree, but the cuttings can be rooted as they are the retusa variety and they will grow normaly.
