All plants should be kept outdoors whenever the weather allows. No plants are made to grow indoors.
Species that survive are ficus spp. some ligustrum, camelia.
For fruits you need pollination, typically through wind or insects, which would indiate a place outdoors.

Although this is a bit off topic, but still within the realm of fruit trees, has anyone had any experiences with burgees plant supply? I've gone through them once I believe, with no problems obviously since I cant remember anything prudent. I got the magazine today in the mail and was curious about the 6-1/5-1 citrus/apple/whatever else they can combine fruit trees. I was curious if anyone has had a go at these, and if so with what success? They say for these combo fruit trees they send a 2-3' tree. Although it seems a bit out there, I was just curious.
