Before we can help you choosing the right pot with the tree, we need to see a picture of the tree of course (and the pot you had in mind).

well the pot obviosly has to be very small.pots this size are usually used for accent plants. i have witnessed these trees in person at a show last year and they are quite amazing that they even can grow in such confinements( one was a red pine in a sewing thimble :pinch: ).i have heard that growing this size (including mame) take alot of attention and during summer months need to be watered up to 5 times daily. the grower i talked to said she cant go on vacation without an expeiranced "baby sitter" becuase they can dry up and die within hours

Yeah, having a tree in a pot that small is quite a commitment. How big is the pot the tree is in now? How long have you had it? So many questions. ha ha

Yup; At the club on monday one of our miniature addicts brought a couple of them with him. He had a hawthorn of 3 cm tall, which had 7 open flowers. Stunning.
I understand that for these very small pots, it is commong to burru the pots in a bigger pot with coco-peat in order to keep them moist between waterings. But they do dry out very quickly, and you run into salt issues very easily.
