Hi guys, great forum!

I've been interested in 名媛直播 for a while now, but haven't got around to getting my own tree as I didn't have the time to learn enough about caring for a 名媛直播 tree.

About five days ago my mother surprised me with a 名媛直播 bought from the local gardening store. She just kind of bought it on a whim, not thinking about it as more than a normal house plant.

Im so excited about my first 名媛直播, but as I've read the forum, I've become more and more convinced that it is bound to die :D

I really have no experience of growing any kind of plants before this and I really don't know what to do with this 名媛直播. Any help and tips you guys have would be appreciated!!

It said on the label that this tree is a Zelkova but nothing else and it also ssaid that it is an indoor species. I read on many threads in this forum that this species should be kept outdoors so I'm kinda confused..

I live in southern Finland and it's atleast -5°C during the day outside so i guess putting the tree outside is definetly out of the question. I haven't done anything to the plant other than water it two times as I've been afraid I might do more harm than help. Should I prune it somehow or just wait and see what happens?

I've attached a couple of photos to give you an idea of the tree.

Help! :)

im not sure but i think this is a chinese elm ,they are very simmilar in appearance but the elms are more cold and disease resistant.if you have watered it twice in 5 days it is too much they also need alot of light. when temps get higher and there is no risk of frost it can go outside in full sun

Zelkova is a frequent encounter at Finnish bonsai shops, so if it tagged as one, chances are it actually is. It'll do just fine indoors, but will not mind spending some time outdoors when it's not freezing.

Most likely it is imported, and the soil used for transport is usually a solid chunk of clay, which is far from ideal. Watering clay is a bit tricky, so your better off if you repot when it gets a bit warmer. Once its in proper soil (make sure the pot has a good drainage), it's very difficult to water too much.
