Hello amazing group. I grow bonsai tree beginner and I want to consult with the Professional in the group ... I mplantation branche and now its just starting out leaves.
My question is do I need to cut the roots to the leaves remain small ??

first thing first we will need to know the kind of tree you are dealing with for more specific help.pics will help too

defoliating (cutting off all leaves) will in time reduce leaf size on healthy trees by increasing ramification (branching)

root pruning will increase growth rates when the roots regrow.
